Cat Finders
603-659-6832 (Between hours of 9:00 A.M. and 11 P.M., unless it's an emergency.) Please leave a message.
Email is the best way to contact us with information about lost/found/visiting cats. Please include the following contact information:
1. your first name
We do not post your address or full name, unless you request it.
2. your email address or phone number
If using your email address, please make sure you actually do give it to us in the body of your email. If you give us both your phone number and your email address, please let us know which you would prefer us to use, or if both, please tell us so.
3. the town & neighborhood where the cat was lost or found
(e.g. the Packers Falls Road area in Durham, downtown Newmarket, Wadleigh's Falls area of Lee, etc.) If your cat is missing from any county other than Strafford or Rockingham, please mention which county your cat is missing from, as well as the town.
4. a photo of your cat
If you have one. Please send all photos as attachments, rather than inserting them into your email. The best photos will show your cat's face clearly, as well as identifying features such as white patches, unusual tail, etc. If in doubt, send two. If you have pictures but are not a computer person, and are not sure how to scan/email a picture, we'll be happy to assist.
Helpful but not necessary: In the subject line of your email to us, it is helpful if you can include the cat's name (if lost) or cat's color (if found) and your town. e.g. Mr. Whiskers/Lost/Dover. Or Found Maine Coon, Nashua.
If all of this seems like too much to do right now, at a time when you are frantically searching for your cat, please just send us whatever you want in an email. If we need additional information, we will contact you.
Lee/Newmarket Cat Finders posters are put up periodically and located in:
the Lee Town Clerk's Office, Lee Library, Lee Police Station, Lee Transfer Center, Market Basket, Newmarket Police Station, Little Critters Pet Center in Stratham, the Stratham-Newfields Veterinary Hospital, Oyster River Veterinary Hospital, and a few other choice spots.
Found Cats:
If you are certain that you have found one of the cats listed as lost on Cat Finders, please call/contact the cat's family as soon as possible. Most people would love to recieve this type of phone call any hour of night or day! If you have seen a cat that may or may not be the lost cat, please notify the family as soon as possible, within reason.
Lost Cats:
